The Secrets of Island Photography - Page 3

Ben hired the Ao Wai cottage, consisting of five bedrooms. Now I know what some of you, who possess the mathematical skills of a nuclear physicist and the morals of an alley cat, are thinking: five bedrooms for 12 people. The breakdown was simple: Ben, the photographer, and I had a room each; in one room were five girls, in the other, four.

By the time we made landfall and the rooms allocated it was after 4:00pm and the girls were, naturally, hungry as well as tired. After all, they hadn't eaten properly for at least four hours and we didn't want them to become emaciated. We quickly assembled for a feed and the girls, left to their own culinary devices, demolished the islands' stock of shellfish.

Just after 5:30pm the sunset shooting began. This continued until darkness had well and truly fallen.
